WORSHIP LEADERSHIP SEMINARS
Goal:
To enable preachers and musicians to form creative worship planning
teams to plan effective, energized worship services together.
Description:
This informative,
interactive and well-paced seminar will help preachers, musicians and
other worship leaders develop new paradigms for the design and
implementation of creative, unified and meaningful worship
services. The planning process is the first step in the
transformation of the worship team, church staff and laity to equip and
empower them for Christian service.
The seminar can fit
into several formats. The shorter form, consisting of a
three-hour evening and a four-hour morning session, is formatted to
include full group lectures and demonstrations, interactive break-out
sessions, full group sharing and time for feedback and reflection.
The longer form can
be either 1 or 2 days and will allow for more in-depth exploration of
themes such as: beginning a new worship service, preventing “worship
wars”, introducing multiple fine arts disciplines into multi-style
worship services and more.
Upon completion of
the seminar, worship leaders can develop a plan of revitalization and
transformation of their own worship experiences. All worksheets,
forms and planning design sheets needed for the seminar and follow-up
work will be provided.
- Evening Session
Plenary Session
One: It’s all about music. I've gotta have help, they are driving
me
crazy! If you think about it, it’s really preposterous! Same
leaders with same people week after week. Break-out sessions with
minister and musicians. Conversation about the strengths we bring to
worship planning from our unique perspectives.
